The Allusive Aftershock Release Day Blitz

The Allusive Aftershock Release Day Blitz

Allusive Aftershock

by

Susan Griscom

Genre: Young Adult Romance
Publisher: Amber Glow Books
Release date: December 23, 2012

Blurb:

What happens when a major earthquake changes life as you know it and the boy you thought you hated ends up saving you? Three times!

Courtland Reese is the guy everyone hates and makes fun of because … well, he is weird. He communicates with animals. Strange or interesting, seventeen-year-old Adela Castielle can’t quite figure out, but when he saves her from being trampled by her own horse, she begins to understand him a little better and wants to learn more about him.

But, Max--her best friend/dream guy/someday-to-be-her-husband-only-he-doesn’t-know-it-yet--hates Courtland with a passion. Adela wants to know why, except neither boy is talking.

When Max leaves her stranded in his parents' wine cave with his worst enemy, Courtland, after what the experts are calling a “megathrust” earthquake, Adela starts to question her loyalty to Max as steamy kisses in a dark damp cellar only fuel her emotions with more conflict.

But does she really have time to worry about that when fire, destruction and mayhem surround her?

A note from Susan

My friends and family know me as Susan Griscom, but I write the Whisper Cape series under the name of Regan Walsh. Visit my blog: http://swblog.susangriscom.com

I daydream often and sometimes my daydreams interrupt my daydreams. So I write to remember them. If I didn't write, I think my mind would explode from an overload of fantasy and weirdness. To the annoyance of my friends and family, my characters sometimes become a part of my world. During my childhood, I would frequently get in trouble in school for daydreaming. Eventually, my vivid imagination paid off and I had the privilege of writing and co-directing my sixth-grade class play—a dreadful disaster, though not from my writing, of course, I must blame it on the acting.

I enjoy writing about characters living in small quaint towns and tend to lean toward the unusual and spooky.

My paranormal playing field delves into a different milieu, abandoning vampires and werewolves, but not discounting them. Someday I might like to write a novel about vamps and those furry creatures. But for now I like the bizarre mixed with romance. A strong hero or heroine confronted with extraordinary forces of nature, powers and capabilities gets my blood running hot.

More Blogging Tips ~ Shorten URLs for FREE!

 Welcome to

Blogger Tips & Tricks

 Shorten URLs for FREE!

Ever wondered how those ginormously long web links end up just a few characters long in other peoples posts?
If you Microblog ie:- use Twitter, and are restricted  to 140 characters these tools are fabulous as they free up valuable typing space.

Here are a couple of links for nifty tools  that automatically shorten the URL for you.

Their spiel is this:

'Are you sick of posting URLs in emails only to have it break when sent causing the recipient to have to cut and paste it back together? Then you've come to the right place. By entering in a URL in the text field below, we will create a tiny URL that will not break in email postings and never expires.'

This is an excellent choice and there's the facility to add it to your Links toolbar. Plus there's no registration required and huge bonus in my opinion.

 This is what they say:

'Do more with your links - The new way to bookmark, organize, and share the things you care about online.

Organize your links - Bundle links privately or publicly around a theme. Invite collaborators.

Find stuff fast - Instantly find any link you’ve saved with our super speedy search.

One-stop sharing - A single way to share your links across Facebook, Twitter, and email.'

This has two ways of shortening links.  One is in the top right-hand corner on the home page, just cut and past your link and click shorten or you can create a free account for the facility of extra tools.

So there you have it 2 ways to shorten URLS for free!

I hope you've found this info useful and I'll be back soon with more Blogger Tips and Tricks

Trial by Fire

by

Jennifer Lynn Barnes

A 'Raised by Wolves' Novel

Book Description

From Amazon UK

26 May 2011

At seventeen, Bryn is has the usual schoolgirl worries: a new boyfriend, a new school and a new home. But she has one major concern that her friends don't have: she is an alpha - a human girl in charge of her own werewolf pack. When Bryn and her closest friends, Dev and Lake, broke from the werewolf Callum's pack, it had all felt right. Together with Chase, Bryn's new love, they had rescued some newly made female werewolves from a despicable master and established their own pack, with Bryn as leader. Yet Bryn has always resented the rules of Pack life - the constant bowing to authority, the submission to the alpha. And she is determined to live differently, to run this pack openly and justly. Then one night, a badly beaten werewolf shows up on her territory. He needs help, sanctuary, care. But taking him in could violate inter-pack rules, and no one knows better than Bryn the costs of challenging those rules. Obedience is law in Pack life, but Bryn is going to break the rules, again.

There are three copies to be won of this hot off the press new release urban fantasy romance.

Book Blurb:

In this final book of The Seven Spell Saga, it’s three years since Chloe moved to England with her family. She has grown up and it shows. Her relationship with Oliver and Tristan has produced some fantastic adventures and Tristan who sometimes has shown a little jealousy at her loving both him and Oliver suddenly finds out just how hard it is to love two people.

The voices of Oliver, Tristan, and Chloe continue in this final book as they were introduced in The Sealed Door. In Book five and six, the stories were told by all three and a different element was added, a narrative voice. That continues in book seven.

Dale and her people attract more danger and magic to Tristan, Oliver, and Chloe as they all try to use their special abilities to help others. They don’t know it but the seven spell that has caused so many adventures in the last three years is far less worrisome than magic that is far older.

When Oliver and Chloe meet the owner of a photography gallery, they find a big surprise awaits them. Tristan was sure he wasn’t being influenced by magic but is he right?

What is Dale’s destiny?  Will Chloe and Oliver actually get engaged?

(YA 17+ urban fantasy romance)

Author Bio

Tessa has lived in many places in the world because of her work, but currently resides in the United Kingdom where she was born.

She writes character driven stories, which are a genre blend of urban fantasy, paranormal romance, and real life. Her books are heavily romantic. Tessa likes to write paranormal romance as well as contemporary fantasy as she says this gives her more scope for happy endings, which she thinks we all crave. Tessa loves to wander around the ancient places, historical sites, and ruined castles of the UK where she often finds inspiration.

Excerpt:

We were outside on the sidewalk and Oliver whispered. “Come on Chloe”, as he started to walk quite quickly away. I followed and as we turned the corner onto the main road, he said. “What do you mean he’s different?”
Oliver slowed down his pace.
“Oliver are you getting the vision again from the frame?” I asked him, and he looked at me and stopped walking.
“No maybe the wrapping is protecting me. Although I think I only get it the first time I touch the object. So how is Eddie different?”
“He feels like us, he feels immortal”, I said, and Oliver looked startled.
“You can feel it?”
I nodded slightly. “Well I feel the difference in people, and he feels like you and Tristan”.
Oliver started walking again.
“Let’s get this to your car and then you can explain to me what that really means”.
Fortunately, it wasn’t far to the Jeep, and as soon as we had put the picture in the back Oliver put his arms around me.
“Tell me what you mean”.
I had not really thought about it before because I attributed it to being able to heal people.
“Oliver when I touch someone I get the general feeling of them. You and Tristan feel really healthy sort of vibrant in comparison to say mom, who just feels normal like Steven, dad, and the guy Mitch I just brushed fingers with as he gave me the picture. It just started happening when I started being able to heal people”.
“Right and you never thought to mention it Chloe?” Oliver asked.
I shrugged. “It seemed to go with the territory and it’s not as if I get zaps or anything after that first time healing mom’s headache, it was just a gradual realization”.
Oliver frowned at me.
“Chloe, do you think he could have felt that you are different? Eddie I mean”.
I didn’t think so.
“No I doubt it. It’s a facet of my healing thing. When I hold your hand can you feel anything?” I asked him.
Oliver grinned at this.
“I feel lots of things when you hold my hand, mostly l feel like kissing you. No I think that phenomenon is all yours Chloe”.
